Possibly if it goes beyond it's design parameters but in this case it's not beyond it's design parameters. The input of a pilot is not directly used to fly a plane, the computer is making hundreds if not thousands of minor adjustments every second.
Indeed. Flight software is about the most solid SW out there - even if outside its expected parameters, the designers will do their damndest to make sure it fails safe.
520 MPH is 450 knots IAS at sea level, give or take. Well within the VNE for a 757. In fact, most pilots will happily tell you (ever met a pilot who wouldn't talk your ear of about aviation?) that high speed equals lots of airflow across the control surfaces equals responsive controls. The 747s in the low-speed landing configuration in the photos above are much harder to fly.

They sure made a case that is was for WMDs. I understand Saddam had used chemicals on his own people but none were found after the invasion.
Actually, there were some banned weapons found. Which could have been enriched and killed thousands.

I'm probably asking for trouble, but curious. Inspired by tonight's iZombie and some posts in this forum....
So many of the conspiracy theories a la "we never landed on the moon" "Elvis lives!" and the like just seem so...out there. Can you think of anything like this that ended up being true? I'm not even sure what qualifies as true...widely accepted? Shown by later science/forensics/etc to actually be plausible/real? Aliens wrote it up in their version of the National Enquirer?

In what world is a steel frame building weaker than concrete? In what world does a modern high-rise, made of steel or concrete, crumble to the ground like a house of cards from fire as if it were made of toothpicks? Only in non-truther fantasyland. When you cut a leg from a table, it doesn't collapse perfectly straight down. That only happens in cartoons.
It didn't collapse "perfectly straight down" or St. Nicholas Church two blocks away would not have been crushed to smithereens.

Further, did you forget the part where the buildings were rammed by commercial jets? Do you think they were standing perfectly upright after that? I was inside one of them and I am here to tell you that they weren't. You could hear in the stairs that the steel didn't sound like it did normally--something was terribly wrong. You really believe that an impact so hard that people on higher floors were knocked out of their chairs and onto the floor didn't do major damage to a building constructed lightweight enough to sway in the wind? I could hardly keep my balance, and the person I was with fell on the floor.
The fact is that you have no idea what you are talking about, and it's very clear to anyone reading this thread.
Stack up 50 tables and pull one leg out, you'll have a pile of tables where you started.
That is true, with loose wooden tables not connected to each other.
But when the tables are made of structural steel and welded or bolted together, that is a different story. You pull one leg out, nothing happens.
