Is anyone stupid enough to believe he is sincere? Colbert is a extremist liberal nutbag and nothing he says or does will change that. A zebra doesn't change its stripes.

Probably because people like him are reasons why the shooter did what he did.

Not saying "ITS A DIRECT CORRELATION!" but...if you keep repeating over and over and over again how you hate someone, all it takes is some evil looney nutcase like the shooter to finally take action.

Good for Colbert. Though, I still miss normal late night comedy like Letterman and Leno...which is why I can still stomach Fallon and Kimmel because they at least are more moderate with their Trump jokes.

Oh, come on... you know that crazy people do crazy crap and it's not really okay to blame late-night TV hosts for it.

They're largely comedians. If people cannot see that it's comedy, no matter how biting it can be now and again, then those people are crazy people.

And, we cannot police the comedy and late-night TV world to avoid setting of nuts, can we?

I mean, we could if we were China.

But... do we want that?

Wow. Your definition of extremist is really broad.

He's a comedian. With a normal, ordinary life outside being a talk-show host and comedian.

Comedians pick on Presidents and other public figures. And they have for decades.

They'll twist it into a problem. They have nothing else of substance to start from.

Colbert even refrained from doing much political jabbing during the monologue, Fallon kept it to a minimum with some funny " Trump birthday cards" and even Seth laid off the politics and didn't do his signature "a closer look" routine. He just did his silly Sean Spicer bit.

I think everyone was trying not to be a dick. But for most of us, this one fruit loop going postal on a bunch of guys who were just trying to play baseball isn't going to really change anything.

I hope everyone who was injured makes a speedy recovery. My softball team had to duck due to flying bullets once, and they were t even aiming at us. Those guys must have been terrified and I'm glad the lunatic wasn't a good shot.
