Half this country doesn't even pay federal income taxes. Half this country is on means-tested entitlement programs.

They enjoy all the things the wealthy pay for -- roads, schools, hospitals, jails, police, courts, national defense, welfare programs, etc.

And they get their jobs and self-employment opportunities from the wealthy who can afford to hire them and buy their stuff.

Sorry, I have no sympathy for parasites who bite the hand that feeds them.
So are you wealthy? If not, why not?

I already answered that. By and large the world cares less who our president is. We think a little too much about ourselves. People in other countries have their own things to worry about.

Some countries worry about our country. Like why we are bombing them but they hate the country, not the president specifically.

Being European (and having lived in more than one European country) I think you're a bit off here. US politics - especially foreign policy (for obvious reasons) is being followed pretty damn closely by anyone politically engaged. US presidents make magazine covers, it's a pretty big deal.

For European governments, a major decision is whether to align foreign policy with that of the US - and how closely. It's important stuff.

False. They never said that. I am doubtful that you even understand the type of data they collect based on that statement of yours.

From where do you get your nonsense?

At least now we have it narrowed down to those "politically engaged".

And government's. In any country that makes for a minority of people.

If Trumps disapproval ratings mean anything, a LOT of Americans are smart enough to realize that what you say is untrue.

Heck, ask the dead President Reagan what he thinks! The whole ideal of the "shining city on the hill" and "do as we do" was part of our history and foreign policy for many many decades (or centuries).

Short of that - what we are telling the ROW (rest of world) is "you better arm up and get some nukes quickly because America has no intention of being a friendly member of the world community - only might will make right". I know China has gotten the message and the Russians have also.

We "old fashioned" types tend to think diplomacy and being part of (or leaders of) the civilized western world is a good thing.

I guess that went out the window now also. Have we made the full transition to "money talks, BS walks" - the famous comment made during Abscam by a politician? I'd say so.

This is not the America that the majority of Americans desire.

It makes me understand even more why Trump loves the uneducated. Heck, our founders over 250 years ago realized how important it was as to what the world thought of us. How the heck did we get to a point today where such feelings are called that of "teenage girls".

No - the truth is that moral and ethical people DO care what others think about them. Sociopaths and Psychopaths don't.

A considerably higher proportion in Europe than in the US, and those are the people who turn elections.

Indeed. US soft power used to be a major asset, and it's dwindling - fast.
