That was agonizing. Just horrible. A truly unprovoked assault.

We should have stayed out of Syria, Iraq, Libya, and Egypt for sure. They had tyrants for leaders but they also maintained peace through their heavy handed rule, which seems to be the only way to control the people in these regions. I'm sure they long for the good ole days before ISIS, which we are to blame for the rise of. This is what happens when politicians without clue start wars they have no intention of winning.
Saddam made statement, continually during the times of challenges from Gulf War to the Invasion, he said, "if the US looked at the reformed he has made they would understand progress, if they understood the region and the people, One could gain perspective by reading about his rise to power, and the dynamics it present of Middle East Life, Politic's and the competitions. He also said, that the people of the Iraq as well as others in the region, "respect wealth, and the gun", he made many palaces to demonstrate the wealth, and he used the gun in many of his self presentation as a side arm or a weapon he fired in the air. He spoke of the level of conflict that would ensue if the strong arm of dominant stand was not maintained by its Leader and how the factions would be at civil war without it. American did not believe him. America also believed Saudi because it was the Oil Rich Nation with much pandering to it taking place. Iraq was and is known to have the "thickest Crude Oil" and that is a coveted asset that Bush/Cheney thought they'd get to put in a puppet and gain dominant access. But not only were the people of Iraq was not going to allow that, Iran, or any of the OPEC going to allow that.
Once we invaded Iraq, Oil spiked up to $147 a barrels. It meant nothing to devote $5-$10 a barrel to ensure the fighting continued, it meant high profit and means to forestall any American Dominance, and over time they were assured that debt would be crushing to America as well and it could not sustain without its own interior crumbling. Bush/Cheney tried every options they could imagine to give the illusion that America's economy was strong and moving, and it finally caved in during 2007 and met it big calamity in 2008. The Arab Nations Made 700% increase profits in the oil price spike up, including speculation valuation... as Oil was at around $19-20 something dollars a barrel at the time the war started. China went on a World Tour and during that same time, Pledged $50 Cash as a benchmark price, and eventually it spiked upwards from there. That was 120% increase in "Cash"... We had to compete with that, and speculation drove up the price from there.

China's president gave to GWB the book "The Art of War" and cautioned against such a long distance and long term protracted war and the consequences. Such advice was ignored, and we threatened many nation with economic disadvantages if they did not side with us. We all know the ultimate out come of that mess is still raging with madness. ISIS themselves said, if Saddam had lived, they never could have formed, because Saddam would never have allowed it. Now we have a fully destabilized region with refugee by the high volumes and devastated landscape and destroyed history.

Weapon Selling was escalated to a level that it can't be turned around, due to the volumes of fortunes upon fortunes the mass sellers of weapons amassed. At some point, the buyers will want to continue to use those weapons. And the weapons sellers will want to sell the "next generation of weaponry". We have no power to stop any of it.

Much we don't know... we don't know the depth of why Russia is with Syria, but also Russia knows at this point, Syria is another Mimicked situations of the chaos that consumed Iraq. If one looks at the Global Map and put it into perspective, "U.S." against the world is not a good scenario... President Obama knew that "Diplomacy was the answer and it still is". If one looks at the Map of the Middle East (Asian as a whole, we would be best to care for diplomacy more than seeking to have dominance).

Empires of the past learned a great lesson from trying to Control Entire Continents and we should heed that knowledge.

We can't even deal with making the best of relations with Mexico and its attached to us as the U.S. that should tell us something about our deficiency in the art of Diplomacy. It is a great indicator that we have great works to do from that standpoint of promoting Diplomacy.

You really do love to write. Next time just say you agree with me.

I am kidding of course

The problem with mankind (humans) is that no matter how many times, through history, a lesson is taught, they always believe the same will not happen this time. They are continually destined to repeat the same mistakes over and over expecting different results. If I'm not mistaken, that is the definition of insanity.

Arguably, Russia (USSR) went belly up and collapsed because of their failed occupation in Afghanistan. At least it was a part of their collapse. Just 15 years later, we did the exact same thing and now it is the longest conflict in the history of this country. We learned nothing from Korea (we're still there) and Viet Nam. We cannot win against such ideological foes who never really posed a substantial threat to us in the first place.

Like I said, the definition of insanity.

I agree...

Here we are today, with the 4th of July coming, and we have the Budget Issue that has the beaches in New Jersey Closed. Yet, people can't see the symbolism of decline !!!! They even tolerate someone like Christie, and his contemptuous belligerence toward the people in response to the Closure. "we can see it, the right wingers will vote him in for another terms.... 'they love such belligerence", the more they are kicked in the face, the happier they become... cause they "got a real tough guy who is a bully and a crap talker, and they love it.

We don't pay attention... as with most of these short attention span types that come to post complaining about the length of writing, rather than skip on by and go to what they want. They think their trying the same game of utterances is suppose to change others and how others utilize this communication script.

like you said:

Anything that has more than 2 variables they get confounded... Its always "some" who do understand what it written and more than 140 characters does not make their head explode )

The situation of the Nation shows such symptoms in some of its population as well....

"In life, if there is to be unity, it has to understand what in history created and promoted so much disunity, because actions influence minds and can do so for generations."

So... Again the question arises ... What's comes Next?
