"On the heels of U.S. President Donald Trump expressing a desire to give assistance to the parents of Charlie Gard, the president of Bambino Gesù Hospital, the hospital of the Vatican, has made a direct outreach to the London medical establishment currently handling the infant’s case: "

They raised the money to move the baby so why not help him?

Better Italy than the US.

Quote:
Italy has a national health plan (Servizio Sanitario Nazionale), which provides for hospital and medical benefits. ... With the Servizio Sanitario Nazionale most care is free or low-cost, including consults with a general physician, hospital visits, lab work, and medications.

Great Ormond Street Hospital is one of the most highly respected Childrens Hospitals in the world, the Vatican Hospital could not offer any treatment that is not already available at Great Ormond Street. Indeed the condition this baby has is so rare there are only 16 cases in the entire world.

How the Zayed Centre for Research will revolutionise the treatment of patients at Great Ormond Street Hospital | The Independent

Give to GOSH: ‘New centre will speed up discovery of cures for rare childhood diseases’

Great Ormond Street Hospital set to complete Phase 2B, the Premier Inn Clinical Building within the new £300 million Mittal Children's Medical Centre in 2017. Phase 3 of the hospital redevelopment will the £65m Zayed Centre for Research into Rare Disease in Children, which is set to be completed in 2018. It is envisaged that the £200 million Phase 4 redevelopment will be complete in 2022.

The new Zayed Centre will bring together 400 world-leading scientists and clinicians in order to research rare disease in children, and is the the world’s first centre dedicated to research into rare childhood disease.

What will be in the Zayed Centre for Research into Rare Disease in Children | Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity

It should be noted that Great Ormond Street Hospital is the oldest childrens hospital in the English speaking world, and has lots of wealthy benefactors, it is world famous and is considered to be one of the best childrens hospitals in the entire world. J.M Barrie who wrote Peter Pan even left the copyright to the hospital.

When I say wealthy benefactors I mean people like the late Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan hereditary ruler of Abu Dhabi, the richest emirate in the U.A.E., Al-Nahyan was among the world's wealthiest monarchs who rant thehe also runs one of the world's largest sovereign wealth fund, with reported assets of almost $800 billion. His widow Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak generously donated money to Great Ormond Street for the new Zayed Centre. Whilst steel magnate Lakshmi Mittal and his son Aditya Mittal are worth around $17 Billion and hsave also generously donated money to Great Ormond Street Hospital and there are numerous other such wealthy benefactoirs who help Great Ormond Street which in turn treats sick children from across the world.

Believe me if Great Ormond Street Hospital thought there was any way this baby could be helped they would do it, the problem is the child is in pain, is suffering and there is no cure or magic treatment.

The difference is they won't pull the plug on the baby, for better or worse.

There is no better or worse, the child is brain damaged can not see, hear, move, make a noise, eat or even breathe unaided, and is terminally ill and in pain. No treatment is going to stop this child from dying.

I'm not disagreeing with you. I'm only pointing out that the difference is the Vatican hospital won't pull the plug on the baby without the parents consent.

The European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourgh have already made a ruling that the child stays at Great Ormond Street Hospital, so the Vaticans offer is not going to happen.

The treatment of children at Great Ormond Street Hospital is second to none, and they do have the childs best interests at heart in all cases they deal with.

Simply put because he is beyond help, do they/you actually want the boy to suffer?
