I never followed the "Assad must go" way of thinking. Yeah, he may be a brutal and murderous tyrant, but he's the best deterrent to radical Islam in Syria.

McCain is wrong yet again.

While I like some things about McCain, I found him to still approach these things with the military mindset he was ingrained with. Not to mention a coldwar view of things when maybe back then a port in the med was a big deal for the USSR. As it stands today, Russia is pretty far down my list of real worries.

NONSENSE! I've thought a jackass for well over 30 years but and think he's wrong keeping us in Afghanistan but stay the hell out of Syria and I'll say he's doing at least one thing right.
