The idea that liberals all hate Jesus needs to stop. It's not based on anything that even slightly resembles a fact. It's certainly true that atheists are more likely to be liberal (but are not exclusively liberal), but this does not mean that liberals are all atheists. Plenty of them are very much religious and it's a very important part of their life.
