MS-13 are much worse because they are animals with no standards, and are all about being savage for savagery's sake. They have more in common with ISIS than they have in common with La Cosa Nostra.

Texas runs a game called Pick 3, if you win you get $500. The mob ran a similar game called "the numbers" they paid out $600.

In terms of MS-13 they seem to be across between a street gang and a more traditional mafia organisation, so this might mean the US Authorities will have to change their response.

In terms of Europe, the East European Gangs including Bulgarians and Albanians, Russian Mafia and the Turkish and Kurdish Mafias (who run the heroein trade) are especially nasty, whilst Romanians speciaise in pick pocketing, credit card fraud and ATM Cash Machine Fraud.

Like Carmine Lupertazzi Sr. says, they're (these Latino/Hispanic gangs) are glorified crews; true "mafia" or even a family they aren't. Just a bunch of poor low life kids/young men from the hood looking for instant money, bling and status.

It might be different in the US, but in most of Europe I don't think the Italians are as associated with organised crime, especially now you have all these East European and Turkish/Kurdish gangs.

I know in London, there are still a lot of local gangland families who have very nasty reputations such as the Clerkenwell Crime Syndicate (Adams family) , the police beieve that were responsible for over 25 murders, one victim (Gilbert Wynter) is apparently buried in the foundation of the O2 Arena in London.

The Adams were always fighting with other Irish Mob families like the Rileys and the police have largely curbed much of their activities, however more recently the Hunt Crime Syndicate run by David Hunt, a powerful underworld figure was exposed on BBC Panorama and The Sunday Times, and there are other such families and syndicates, with cities such as Liverpool, Manchester, Glasgow and of course parts of Ireland having particuarly feared local crime groups and syndicates.

The main gangland shootings in London (although relatively rare compared to many cities) tend to be related to the Turks and Kurds fighting over the Heroin Trade whilst the extremely violent Albanian Mafia groups have now established themselves as a major force in the cocaine trade, and there are also to a lesser extent Triad Gangs and Snakeheads from the Far East, whilst the Jamaican Yardies are also involved in the drugs trade.

In terms of crews, each crime syndicate is unique, for instance the Italian Mafia structure is well known, however East European and Russian Mafia groups are not as structured as the Italians and far less easy to pinpoint, or to find an overall boss to take down.

In Britain, the National Crime Agency publishes an annual report on gangland activity.

Oh please, that's just more Godfather romancing of a regular crime organization. The Mexican-American gangs like the MM and Nuestra Familia are very structured, with written code and a strict top-down structure (mostly from shot callers in prison). They just haven't had Marlon Brando or Al Pacino to capture the American imagination like the Italian mafia.

Piece of cake with the Russians.....

The Clinton mafia, aligned with the Bushes, the council on forign relations, bankers, ISIS/Al-CIADA, deep state/CIA --- Most dangerous Mafia in the world --- no competition.

I just spent nearly the entire month ofJune in Tropea and around the neighboring area and had a great time. Drank in all the local bars, etc.

If the Ndràngheta was there, I tip my hat to them for keeping the place in fine/peaceful order.

If you like the water and nice white Roman sand....and great food - I highly recommend it. I am going to try and make it back in mid September and squeeze a Barcelona trip in too.

LOL....that's a funny commentary on life.

Reminds me of the government taking the oil companies to task for gas prices while taking 1/3 of the profits plus the add-on state and federal taxes.

The Mafia doesn't walk around terrorizing the average citizen like MS-13 does.

MS-13 makes the Mafia look like the Salvation Army.
