I am reminded of a sentence from To Kill a Mockingbird, when Attorney Finch is talking to Scout:

“I wanted you to see what real courage is, instead of getting the idea that courage is a man with a gun in his hand. It's when you know you're licked before you begin, but you begin anyway and see it through no matter what."

If President Trump thought it was a bad bill, he should have displayed courage and vetoed it, even though he knew that said veto may be overridden.

Who knows? Perhaps with his veto, Mr. Trump could have given some Republicans the courage to change their vote in support of him.

We shall never know.

Where do you get that Putin is Trump's "buddy?" Got any evidence? Or are you just one of the crazies that is obsessed with the conspiracy theory?

Us?

You must be the only person here who us not up to date with what has been going on.

Read the papers. Google with key words "unconstitutional provisions" and "significantly flawed".

trumpTweet says problems with US Russia relations is Congress' fault
  • Congress invade Ukraine?
  • Congress meddled in US Election?
  • Congress propping up brutal Syrian dictator Assad?
something needs to be done about Congress then, but apparently President Stuckinthemud is powerless to do anything.

That was a bipartisan bill that the Trumpster signed - not just a Democratic sponsored bill. FYI.

No one wants war with Russia - sanctions will do just fine.

Unless YOU would prefer war?

Yeppers, they've done so well with N. Korea,Cuba,Russia,Syria,Iran etc, etc, etc. They've all bent to our will really quickly.
Yep, those real tough (ha ha) sanctions really do work (at sucking up to voters)...

Uum; those types of sanctions bankrupted the USSR once before and brought an end to Soviet dominance but don't let past history influence your thinking at all.

Russian oligarchs owning Trump's anal orifice, lock stock and sphincter while dictating when he gets to use it, should be of far more concern to you than arguing in support of Trump's ethical failures.

Yeah, let's not forget history and the fact that the USSR while trying to keep up with the U.S.in military spending and going bonkers due to StarWars killed their economy which Gorbachev tried to fix. So, it was the Cold War and military spending not sanctions like you say...

They focused in particular on the Cold War with Western powers, engaging in a costly and destructive “arms race” with the United States while exercising military force to suppress anticommunism and extend its hegemony in Eastern Europe.
