Cohen-Watnick’s firing, first reported by Conservative Review, came shortly after two other NSC aides were dismissed: Derek Harvey, director for the Middle East, and Rich Higgins, who served as director for strategic planning. Harvey was an Iran hawk who wanted to reform the intelligence community and rein in “deep state” bureaucrats with rogue agendas, the report noted.
All three were brought on board by former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn. McMaster had previously tried to get rid of Cohen-Watnick, but was overruled by President Trump, White House Chief Strategist Steve Bannon, and Senior Adviser Jared Kushner.
The Conservative Review noted that the NSC continues to be “overwhelmingly staffed with Obama holdovers (almost all of whom have retained their positions).”
There have been unprecedented levels of leaking during this administration — more than seven times more than during the former Obama and Bush administrations, according to a Senate report last month.

As for leaks..well sure..because the govt. civil service despises Trump...and they wish him gone. Leaking is how they're expressing themselves. If Trump was competent..leakers would have nothing to leak.
Once the generals get Bannon kicked out, I wonder how Breitbart's take on the Trump administration will change. And if the two are at odds, do the loyalists side with Brietbart? Or Trump?

Rich higgins memo was dead on. As long as Bannon and Miller are in the trump administration and nationalism and america first policies dominate, he will be the greatest president of our lifetime, he already is on his way. I dont know why the President is so enamored of all these generals, they could od alot of damage and they are used to getting their way as well.
