Exactly.
I went to the little market yesterday and the nice man at the register said, is that all, honey?
I just smiled and said yes, thank you.
I dont get why people are so offended.
They want the badge of "one who has greatly suffered" without the actual suffering.
Apparently suffering is the 'in' thing now. Since nothing ever actually happens to them in their safe little worlds, they have to invent their "suffering". How else are they going to get any attention and "OMG you poor thing!!" "You're so brave!" "You're such a fighter!" "OMG I wish I was as strong as you are...I admire you...you're my inspiration....you're the wind beneath my wings...did you ever know that you're my hero..." statements that make them feel worthy.
There ya go folks, a lesson on what a thing means in the south. If someone in the south says "bless his/her heart to someone other than you about you... well, there ya go and bless your heart.
She is so proud of herself for reporting a lowly airport employee that she couldn't wait to smear her lipstick on and jump on FB live. At least her performances are entertaining.

Yep. All about the ego. There's hardly anything some of these people love more than feeling victimized.

One of the few times I was offended was when a teen age cashier at the grocery store said "And how are you, young man?" That one got to me, and I let him know.
I appreciate things like that. Just smile and move on, nothing to go bat**** over.
