A 20 year old that calls an "older" woman sweetie is just socially inept.

But I am a 50+ year old woman that still uses "dude" once in awhile so what do I know.

I know, what's wrong with these people? They're so "compassionate," they're willing to get someone making barely enough to live on fired because he didn't know what's offensive these days. Same with Lena Dunham the other day reporting two airline employees for a private conversation she eavesdropped. Who knows what happened to them.

It's Orwellian.

Wake up!

It is not a compliment, and it's been considered sexist for the last few decades.

Sweetie is usually a feminine term used by older women.
Darlin' is a masculine term and very complimentary.

Maybe only people from the South would understand their proper usage.

I watched the posted video and Ashley seemed reasonable to me. Don't call a woman sweetheart in a business situation. It is demeaning and inappropriate. Period.
