Nobody could have expected that one person out of hundreds or thousands would do what Fields did. He played right into the hands of the anarchists and anti-free speech provocateurs.

Wonder how many more quiet, college towns are in for a shock.
Hopefully none. If people would have ignored them the worse that would have happened is they beat each other up. Most places have handled things by not giving those who want to cause trouble the time of day. Don't show up, they give a 5 minute speech and go home.

Some people wanted for there to be problems, violence and front page news. Well, they got it along with three deaths and many injured. We should be so proud.

It's so sad that so many on all sides are willing to put their politics over people. I was so disapointed in the local candle light vigil. I am sure there were many there that were sincere but I took from it that those who held it were more interested in pushing their politics. It wasn't the place for that.

The key word here is "tacitly". People say a lot of things, but when there is absolutely no proof, I have to treat it as a lie. If you want to make an argument that he doesn't do enough to call them out, or that he is insensitive to it, at least that is debatable, but this is different from saying he supports them. Even "tacitly". This is something his detractors say in order to create a narrative, and their lemmings just keep repeating it until they start to actually believe it.

Look at the images of the protesters... "Peaceful" protesters don't use flagpoles as weapons with which they strike others and/or their property, or arm themselves with baseball bats:

It is.

If you want to start a thread on hate, go ahead. On your hate thread, you could post links to lynchings, to photos of little girls walking through a gauntlet of hate to get to school, ....

Hate? The thread could go on forever, really.

However, this thread is about Charlottesville Protests.
Too bad all, well, most of the replies is about nothing more than hate. Why would I post old historical pictures when I just have to note all the hate here?

Well, the problem with your post is that is contains several fallacies, and really is just an opinion, with assumptions not backed up by any evidence or statistics that I have seen.

You trot out "the left" boogeyman, which is a standard tactic, get a chuckle out of this quaint attempt at a straw-man argument, we have seen it tried so many times. The reality of course is that most of the world is in opposition to neo-Nazi groups and it cuts across all political and cultural lines, it's not really a political issue.

Absolutely there are elements of BLM and Antifa that are radical and dangerous. But from all the available evidence, at the moment their numbers are far, far fewer that the white power groups on the Right. Just ask the FBI to get the real story, because they do not have a political dog in the hunt; and THEY view the white power groups as the biggest domestic terror threat. Any thinking American understands that today's white supremacists are particularly dangerous and very well organized, in comparison to radical groups on the Left.

If you REALLY want to understand the terror threat, read the FBI's summary below. It is long but very interesting.

This is true. Ignore the racist cretins and they'll go back to their holes soon enough. No one gets hurt and the 1st amendment remains intact.

Possibly but the protest Friday night was a good indication that there would be trouble on Saturday, no one could have predicted this but you could expect that this protest would draw the fringe crazies. The unapproved protest Friday night started it off and it escalated, they should have taken it down a notch.

Will be very interesting to see whether the guy gets the death penalty, or just spends the rest of his life in prison with a Nazi boyfriend who will treat him real good.

Footage of crash starts at 11:12

The Nazi scum had already been speeding towards the crowd before the flag was swung.
There were numerous other cars within the crowd, not being attacked.

What is this this other video that keeps getting posted? A group of hicks sitting in some old room, talking to the camera is now some legitimate source of anything other than laughs?
