The birther movement definitely had strong racist undertones. Are you serious right now?

"We must remember this truth: No matter our color, creed, religion or political party, we are ALL AMERICANS FIRST." - Donald Trump's statement on 8/12

That doesn't sound like Trump was siding with white supremacists or kkk.

At this point there is nothing Trump can say that is going to make everyone happy. They will find some petty little thing to pick it apart.

Pretty much this. I personally think he said the right thing. Had he called out one hate group, he would have had to call out all three that were represented there. And we all know that would have had worse results.

Using the logic of the left, since Trump didn't denounce the Nazi/ White supremacists now makes him one. When people of Islamic faith don't denounce their religion whenever a terrorist attack is committed by someone of Islamic faith, does that now make them terrorists ? Just curious....

The birther movement by Trump was to determine where Obama was born. What does that have to do with racism?
This is the stupidity that is going around with nothing behind it. The more that this continues only makes Trump stronger and more likely to win the next 4 years.

And, do tell, why was it a question of where he was born? Why isn't there a "birther" movement for every president?

You're being incredibly naive right now. Read more about this movement.

Trump's always been a racist. Does the driving force behind the birther movement for 5 years ring a bell?
Does Bannon, Gorka and Miller in the white house inner circle give you a clue?
You're correct, but the clue phone aint ringing.

Are you serious?? SO let me get this straight. The birther movement was to find out where Obama was really born. So since he was black this movement is racist??? This really lacks any logic or credibility. What are the facts on determining this?

This isn't rocket science - he could have literally copy-and-pasted someone else's comments. Instead, he went with some "both sides" BS line.
He not only went with the both side BS, he said that we should cherish our history. That was basically a dog whistle on steroids letting the Nazis and white nationalists know that he supports their cause. Trump is America's KKK President now.

Not naïve just don't jump to unfounded conclusions. Or follow the sheep who read thing on the internet and then consider it fact.

Please see my post above. You are a bit ignorant on this movement.

I also said it had strong racist undertones. Not that it, directly, was racist (although, yes, that largely fueled it, especially AFTER multiple birth certificates were produced).
