Two weeks ago, Trump signed an executive order rescinding flood protections in flood-prone areas. The regulations required that roads and other infrastructure in coastal flood zones be built higher, so that eople will have a safe route to evacuate. Trump doesn't think that's necessary, because hey - floods? Never happen!

It is impossible to think of a move by a president that could be more short-sighted, poorly thought out, and potentially deadly than what Trump is planning on doing. According to data from NOAA, “In 2015, about 64 percent (112 out of 176) of the flood deaths involved vehicles. Many of those likely occurred when a person was trying to cross a flooded road. Vehicles have also been a part of many flood-related fatalities in 2016. As an example, many of the 26 deaths in North Carolina from Hurricane Matthew involved motorists being swept away on flooded roads.”

He did this to help the builders. He doesn't care if they get flooded.

Do you people complain about everything? You probably send your food back at restaurants. I know your type.
When you get some free time, look up self-reliance.

If state and local governments take federal dollars for infrastructure, then the feds have skin in the game - and can call the tune for how that money is spent.

I'm not sure. Builders will make more money on higher structures, so I think this was just part of his obsession with erasing everything that Obama touched.
