You could use a single shot but if you are hunting a sounder of pigs you'll at most get one. With an AR you can get a bunch of them.

You do know you can shoot a pump or lever gun almost exactly as quick as a semi? This one also has a 11 round capacity removable magazine.

Honest question, why should I have to?

Another honest question, have you ever fired any type of firearm?

As a matter of fact, I can fire my pump gun just a tad faster than my semi, but accuracy is not as good by having to pump to reload. As a result, I am a better and more accurate shooter, with fewer cripples resulting, with a semiautomatic shotgun..

I agree, he have given the other side so much material to use against him. He wont win it with just his base, and doing nothing to bring in others.

I was asking an honest question. There is no need to be a jerk, talk civilly. I don't understand the need for a gun that shoots 25 rounds in a minute.

As for what you own now, you own now. It doesn't mean stricter rules shouldn't be put in place.

I apologize.

I don't understand the need for a humongous range of products that people buy, but it's not my business.

And who is caught in the middle of this mindless crap?

Oh, that's right -- working America, middle America, independent America -- whatever you want to call it.

My recommendation is stop protesting, start doing something else to improve your life, and start drinking heavily if necessary. There's got to be a better way than what we are seeing.

I haven't shot a gun or owned a gun, I have no desire to. A lot of it comes from fear and from seeing the mass shootings that have happened over the years.

From my vantage point guns are for hunting and protecting yourself. I don't understand the need to own a gun that shoots 25 rounds in a minute. AngryTaxpayer explained it wonderfully to help me better understand.

This is something I think if people sat down and had a conversation about instead of sensationalizing what controls people want on guns and what gun owners want would be much more productive than everyone shouting at each other.

"Will America survive the next three years?"

Well, snowflakes might melt. But the country will be stronger for it.

I would encourage you to find a little time to go to a shooting range. Treat it as just a thing to do on an afternoon, something new that you haven't done before. It's fun. And it might give you a little more perspective.

What are your thoughts? Will America make it to 2020?
Of course America will make it and beyond. Far too many people get wrapped up in the troubles of today, conflating them into the worst of times. We have been through multiple wars, financial disaster, etc. and come out stronger. Think you have it bad now, read about your grandfathers and great grandfathers time, with the great depression and a few world wars to contend with.

As to your comment about going to a blue state, you do realize many states are blue or red by a small margin of voters, right?
Another words you can have a state that is blue by 51% of the voters, yet 49% of the voters are not. While you might feel more comfortable around Democrats, most Republicans are not violent toward homos. They might not think you fit the hetero mold, but will take a live and let live approach.
Also keep in mind that while the so called open-minded COEXIST crowd talk a good game, many same despicable things behind your back.
Heck, look no further than how the DNC and Hillary & Co treated Bernie, trying to question his Jewish faith, and demonize his followers/supporters.
David Geffen who is a prominent homo and (D) supporter, hates Hillary with a passion, and feels she is a two-faced liar. What it stems from is rumored to be many things, but he does not feel she is a genuine friend of the LGBTXYZ despite pronouncements saying she was. He knows she is a political chameleon and only wanted his money support

Anyway life goes on and this country will go on so long as the Saul Alinsky tactics are recognized for what they are.
Soros & Brock both would love to see this republic taken over by socialism/communism, and then become part of the new world order. As long as we can keep our Constitution intact through originalism via the courts, we should be fine.
