Thats quite a broad statement , care to give some examples of this claim.
Many who claim Obama was divisive do not go into detail because no matter how broad the statement, it boils down to one unavoidable conclusion, racism.
"Trump will continue to troll the news pages and airwaves of the Post and other major outlets, knowing that the more righteous indignation they show, the less his hard-core base will believe them."
When will his supporters understand that he is using them? That they are his little foot soldiers, easily manipulated right over the cliff? He doesn't care about this country or their lives; what he cares about is that he keeps them ramped up in paranoia in order to build upon and retain his power. The truth is that anyone who supports this lunatic is either driven by the same anarchist desire for destruction as he is, or simply an idiot.
Incomprehensible that the putrid piece of garbage~Trump has not already been removed from office! He is an enemy of the state,a traitor, guilty of sedition!

Trump supporters like Trump himself are increasingly unhinged. Poor pathetic things can't grasp the reality of Trump's failed and faltering presidency.
Trump the troller in chief knows how to keep his diminishing base roiled. Trump's hard core supporters are so lost they are so easily manipulated. More children than adults.
The adults in the Republican party, as few as they have been, are finally coming out of their self-induced coma to see the truth of Trump. The last will be some of the pro-Trumpers on this board.

Yes, but I'm sick of their words. (I'm disappointed in what he said...I don't agree with the president...He shouldn't have, blah, blah, blah.) It's time for action. They need to do more than just express outrage. At this point, the GOP is complicit.

From the piece:
Quote:
...It’s not only an emotional imperative for Trump, it’s a deliberate ― and thus far successful ― strategy. ...
The reason why he continues the FUD (Fear, Uncertainty, Doubt) strategy in his role as President, is simply because it worked in his campaign - he won.
The reason why he continues to take the American people on a 'rollercoaster ride of emotions' in his role as President, is because it worked during his campaign.
A common adage in power dynamics theory is, 'a chronically fearful people are more easily divided'. A divided people are more easily conquered.
Although gotta admit, Mr. Trump is not responsible for the evolution of our election processes & outcomes ~ he's just taking advantage of the 'status quo' to win.
The American people will continue to 'lose' no matter who takes the seat. The skills necessary to win an election are not necessarily transferable to competent governing. It's a huge problem imho.
I agree wholeheartedly. The intention of the elites is always to divide and conquer, keep us squabbling amongst ourselves while they increase their power. We have more that unites than divides us, but are too lost in the woods to see it.

Our so called government uses people anyway they always have for the most part. But yes Trump is a divider.

We are, unfortunately, 'in the weeds' & imho, it'd be more than helpful, to, at the least, begin to 'see the forest for the trees'.
