Well, as someone who has also experienced shocking and intense grief, I can tell you that it affects you in ways you cannot imagine. I don't make it a practice to judge other people in the midst of it. In the weeks that followed my own traumatic loss, I did and said things that were completely out of character. Susan Bro should have the privilege to grieve in her own way with the people she herself chooses for support. Trump needs to express his sympathy from afar and then let it be.

Well said. She should not in any way feel compelled to talk to that a - hole anyway.

BTW, she is a great mother.

She raised a child to stand up to Nazis.

Looks like quite a few here didn't have that kind of mother.

Time to remind myself and others that the best way to deal with on-line trolls is to ignore them. My ignore list has expanded exponentially over the past few days, and it looks like there are more additions to come.

Unnecessary. The problem could be solved without bloodshed if the federal government didn't dictate how we have to live. That's the source of our division. The states were supposed to be supreme for this reason.
