By the way, Illinois is so broke we didn't even get the eclipse. I guess your account can't be in arrears or they cloud up the sky.

Nature bats last.
I think some states opted not to show the eclipse outside because you can move it to a museum with the Confederate statues and enjoy it just the same.

Now we just gotta find a back door wide enough to wheel the sun thru the opening...

That makes sense. There can be a presentation on the dark days of our country when slavery was embraced (cue music) followed by the eclipse - darkening the venue. The voiceover will talk about abolishing slavery and the sun will reappear. Then people can knock down the memorials and throw urine at one another, making it an interactive production.

I've seen worse.

This sounds like a winner. I'd charge admission for such a production.

That's interested because my friend was in Carbondale, IL & has some fantastic pictures of it.

Yes, I jokingly said "Illinois" but southern IL was mostly blue skies with occasional clouds. Chicago is 5 - 6 hours away.

Carbondale is like a billion miles away from Chicago.

I didn't fly today. My chemtrail dispenser is getting repaired. But I've heard that eclipses can have the same effect on passengers as a full moon.

Now I'm not sure if this is a serious response or not. I thought you were with a major airline?

Do you know if pilots / passengers do anything differently when flying on a day like today?
