I'm being somewhat facetious, but when I saw that press conference with Trump and GULP....Elaine Chao, I was like, "she's still hanging around Washington?" I think she's been in every administration going back to Truman, I think!

Of course, I didn't realize that she was married to Droopy McConnell, but still, geez...she's been one hell of a stalwart.

I wonder if she believes in "limited government."

As long as mcConnel is there, she will probably remain.

And no doubt she'll tell you she wants to "drain the swamp" too.

She's *only* 64....lol.

Yeah, that seemed older than dirt when I was 40.

I'm shocked by this criticism. You'd think Dems and SJW would be very happy with Ms. Chao's elevated position in the White House because she is female and a minority. Intersectionality crap is important to Democrats, more important than qualifications for a very senior position in government which Ms. Chao has in spades.

What criticism? Can you read? I said that I was mostly being facetious.

My point is that she's been in Washington since Benjamin Banneker surveyed the place. When Trump brought her out, it shocked me since I thought she left D.C. after her service in the Eisenhower Administration when she was the Secretary of Labor.

Calm down. Geez.

She stood by her man, so it is what it is.

She was born in Taiwan, a minority and a woman.

This said, she came across as good pick. She was detailed and concrete about data and came across as having a good appreciating for wanting to move the automation / self driving car agenda forward and other safety issues. She served pretty good in her last job. I guess she is okay.

A poster said that, Mitch McConnell is so wishy-washy he can’t make up his mind about whether or not he needs to visit the bathroom, let alone anything worthy of political notice. I think I can agree with this too.

Which man did she stand by? That monochromatic, insipid loon that she's married to, or the knuckledragging blowhard that she works for?

Rather strange that she is in Trumps cabinet while he criticizes her husband, sometimes while she is standing next to Trump in a photo OP. She must really love her job, of course that is true of Trumps entire cabinet.
