Why do we even try to compare Canada with the US, The US has a population of 326,002,603 and Canada has a population of 36,554,102 less than the state of California. We have 289,000,000 more people to deal with.

I've spent a lot of time in Canada and it's a country where white people are racist against other white people who speak French
And one of these tense moments was the 1955 Richard riot.

Canada has racism. It is not safe for minorities outside of Toronto, many of them are being attacked and many native Indian women in Canada have gone missing - presumably murdered. Much of the perps are white men.

Right! Snort. (where is a ROTFLMAO smiley when we need it?)

Canadians try to compare themselves to the US to make themselves feel more important. Americans don't usually remember Canada exists on a daily basis. Canada is basically an unpopulated wilderness area

A lot assumptions- but yea we disagree a lot but in certain aspects we friends as we both lost a child to car accidents- so we bonded- we are tolerant of each other political worlds etc. as its ONLY s mall part of who we are. There is the difference-

What an absurd remark. Have you ever even been to Canada?

Here are photos of Toronto, Vancouver, and Ottawa:

Methinks thou dost protest too much. Your argument might be more convincing if it didn't sound like anti-Americanism.

If you believe this I suppose you also believe there is a countrywide policy in American police departments that it is "open-season" on black men.

He said, basically wilderness, not entirely wilderness.

99.75% of Canada's land area is non-urban as of 2006.

Source: Statistics Canada

Canada has some really densely populated urban areas, home to over 80% of Canadians, but to say that wilderness and/or undeveloped areas are not a significant characteristic of Canada's landmass is absurd.

I've spent months in Vancouver and Montreal and have been to QC a couple of times but that doesn't change the fact that 90% of the country is uninhabited wilderness. So yes, Toronto, Vancouver and Ottawa are big populated cities but that is part of the 10% of the actual country that has any people in it and as pointed out the total population of the country is less then the state I live in. And back to the topic at hand I have seen tons of blatant racist and intolerance especially Montreal. I've seen it from English speaking Canadians toward French speaking and vice versa. And I've seen it from White Canadians towards blacks, African and Muslim immigrants. And by tons I mean that I saw it every day on the street so saying it's much more tolerant then the U.S. is a laugh

Most of Canada's populated areas hug the US border. Like limpets clinging to the side of a ship.
