The goal of an Asian war would be to push the enemy back to their borders and reduce their offensive capability. Easier for us to do that than it is for them to try to project their forces toward us. Their air and naval capability is very limited and far more dated than ours. As far as a militarized population, as the Korean and Viet Nam wars demonstrated, the population follows whoever is holding the gun to their head.

Do you know what the Smith Mundt Act is /was? It was repealed under Obama, giving the media free reign to for lack of a better word to flat out lie.

For months we heard how N. Korea was going to launch missiles reaching the West Coast, than it was changed to just be able to reach Guam.

Turn off your teleLIEvision for awhile.

Constant fear is the best way to control people.
Let me guess, you call the TV an idiot box?

The Act itself wasn't repealed. They repealed "domestic prohibition, allowing the government's broadcasting to be directed at/created for Americans for the first time in over 40 years."
