In reality, the Deep state would be synonymous with the mammoth bureaucratic structure of socialist power structures. Leftists feel safer in more controlled environments with an authoritarian regime making up for the absence of God in their lives. Endless red tape and regulations keeps one's mind busy enough to avoid internal spiritual struggles which might lead many a Leftist astray and break the group lockstep formation.

On C-D it's anyone who doesn't worship at the alter of Donald Trump. Even stalwart Conservatives and lifelong Republicans who are capable of seeing that the emperor has no clothes are now called "leftists" here.

This lifetime lefist doesn't know what a Deep State is, but if I had to guess it's a simple slogan from the Right - the Right being that entity that wants to raise the debt ceiling and increase military spending.
Do I have it somewhat Right? Is the "Deep State" yet another simplistic construct for the "uneducated" who Trump loves.....who need slogans which are 4 words or less?

I think it depends on your perspective. To the Trump supporters on this site, or the alt-right in general, it includes not only the legitimate left, but what used to be the center, so even mainstream conservative Republicans are too leftist by their definition.
If you so right-wing that you're in danger of falling off the stage, the guy center stage is pretty far left.

I never heard of the Deep State until a year or two ago. I still haven't heard a very good description of what it is supposed to be.
