This is one of this country's biggest problems and yet nobody in Congress nor any of our recent president are trying to do anything about it. Maybe because the solution is too difficult or elusive and might require less government rather than more spending. Don't listen to this and think it's only about black fathers. It's not. It's about AMERICAN fathers and the future of our country. Anyway, the video is very well done and the statistics are stunning.

You can thank LBJ's War to Create Poverty for incentivizing single parent homes.

This is probably true. And everyone since then has built on or at least supported LBJ's Poverty Preservation Programs.

The war on poverty has been less successful than the war on drugs. How pathetic is that?

A more likely reason is the Rethug "War" on Drugs started by Nixon and ramped by by Reagan that targeted black men.

Pathetic is right and describes almost every government program.

Just to set the record straight, FDR started the war on drugs. Nixon just named it and accelerated it.

Read about it.

I disagree here.

Lyndon Johnson grew up poor, and he knew how hard life can be. The War on Poverty is still a fight worth fighting. If we had not our national situation might have been a lot worse today. We have many fine taxpaying citizens today who got a chance to get out of those circumstances and break the cycle of poverty because of those programs.
