But when you adopt an adult you often don't know how early they were taken from their parents, either, so what is the difference? Most of my adopted dogs were adults or seniors, but I've adopted one puppy. She was a breed that is notoriously hard to train, but I'm certain she was no harder to train than she'd have been had I gotten her from a breeder.
