As citizens, all it takes is a short plane ride from Puerto Rico to the States.

If they can get on a plane! It seems the situation is very serious. We are collecting goods for Puerto Rico and it seems it is even difficult to get stuff there. Many people haven't been able to get a hold of their family and friends and if they did then they learned there is no food and no money to travel.

Many have offered their families to come here for a few months and then go back but many have lost ID's and banks are closed.

Thousands left New Orleans and it wasn't hit as bad as Puerto Rico.

I suspect many will go to Florida.

They will remember that Trump spent more time talking about the NFL then he did about their struggles

Unfortunate for them this hurricane has devastated PR but if if results in a huge migration then it is good for our national elections, it just might turn Florida solidly blue.

Maybe they'll remember liberals spent more time disrespecting the flag and national anthem than helping the people of Puerto Rico.

So?

Puerto Riccans have been US citizens for 100 years. They were shortly thereafter drafted.

All are free to move to and within the US.

We welcome all people... but please G_d sent us good drivers and not more bad drivers as Florida already has the worst drivers
