View Poll Results: Were Trump's Tweets Attacking Puerto Rico Justified?
YES. San Juan Mayor Carmen Cruz's comments against Trump were exaggerated and she deserved a harsh reply. 105 36.71%
NO. Trump's tweets were heartless and mean, given that many PR residents have no water, food, gas, cell phone service, and no medical supplies. 181 63.29%

Yes.

What about this situation is so difficult for you to understand?

Roads are blocked. Bridges are gone. Communication is down. ... Half the place doesn't even have safe drinking water.

They need boots not the ground helping them clear roads, build bridges, helping them get stuff off the docks and out to desperate people.

The military commander just now landed in Puerto Rico. He said they need a lot more boots on the ground.

The hospital ship just left port in Virginia. Just left.

Feds didn't dump a couple truckloads of water bottles outside Houston and say, "You got it."

Didn't do that in Florida either.

So what reason is there to believe that this would work in Puerto Rico, a place with, as we all know, a crumbling infrastructure?

The ignorance displayed on this forum is mind boggling.

Mercifully, Trump cancelled his golfing weekend to focus on what could be done to keep these Americans from dying.

His business background in directing large scale projects is proving invaluable in directing efforts here.

People in Puerto Rican hospitals are not dying because the media "made this an issue."

People are not drinking ditch water because of "fake media."

By any chance, are you posting from a Russian troll farm?

He's a cartoon villain at this point. Every day he thinks "what can I say or do today to make myself look even more like a disgusting human being."

And his disgusting supporters continue to praise his pathetic, childish behavior.

OH Jesus- its like the telling the kid who broke the window with his baseball-- that the problem is the window was in the wrong place -- WTH ?? can you not hold this man responsible for his actions?
today's teachers have the biggest issues not with the kids but with their parents- clear example right HERE! NO OWNERSHIP!
GO GO protect your master-his highness --until he walks over you-- not to touch the mud

Attacking the mayor of a disaster stricken city is not a good look, even for Trump. Is his ego that fragile? Seems like he was willing to give Florida and Texas everything they needed. What's the difference?
It was obvious he was going to blame someone else for his own failures.

What a low-life.

What's the difference? People in PR are hispanic.

Not just ignorance but plain trying to excuse a horrible situation for Americans being made worse by bad decisions from our leaders.
Everyone knew this storm was going to create havoc with PR and the USVI, everyone knew the logistics of getting help to an island. Yet those in power delayed changing laws to get help there, delayed sending military with help. All along congratulating themselves a job well done while in reality Americans are dying.
Texas and Florida got a stream of trucks and help from other states immediately after their storm, how did they expect to get those trucks with drivers and out of state crews to islands?

The truth about puerto rico is through years of mismanagement by their socialist government they have bankrupted themselves and rely on constant bail outs from american tax payers and weren't prepared for the hurricane. They have no real leadership down there to put together a rebuilding effort, no sense of community like you saw in Texas and Florida, and now wants us to do everything for them like we always have. Their mindset is that government is the end all be all.

Can't rep you again, or enough! Most children learn in grade school not to be a jerk (sometimes the hard way), he never did. Some people like that about him, but most people don't.

He is the Divider in Chief. Mr Trump re-confirms almost daily what people think of him, and there is no middle ground, the needle is getting harder and harder to move either way. It would take a miracle to make him generally popular or respected now.
