Btw, the preferred method of tyrants for taking over (other) countries is to devide & conquer by using fear (aka terror). Actual weapons are not really that important.
I mean look what Russia is doing now to your beloved America, they actually use Russian internet trolls to spread their propaganda over the (American) internet to devide your country so it will destroy itself without them having to lift a finger, much less a gun.
We don't need the Russians to divide us, we've got our own Politicians,AntiFaaaa,BLM and KKK to do that and they've proven they're just great at it...

I was talking to a Psychologist and theorized the Vegas shooter had Asperger's Syndrome with Sociopathology. It makes sense. He was very smart, very good with numbers, socially awkward and inept. His father was a sociopath/psychopath and there is sometimes a genetic link.

I believe Adam Lanza had Asperger's too. Smart and socially awkward.

Yeah, I know.
I guess the moment that lobbyists were allowed to enter the political system, it only speeded up the process of absolute power becoming absolutely corrupt.
Which, unfortunately, now results in mass-shootings becoming common in America.

If true, then, wonderful. 59 people got killed and hundreds got hurt because of some guy's meds. But these days I wouldn't be surprised.

Las Vegas Strip shooter prescribed anti-anxiety drug in June
Quote:
Stephen Paddock, who killed at least 58 people and wounded hundreds more in Las Vegas on Sunday with high-powered rifles, was prescribed an anti-anxiety drug in June that can lead to aggressive behavior, the Las Vegas Review-Journal has learned.

Records from the Nevada Prescription Monitoring Program obtained Tuesday show Paddock was prescribed 50 10-milligram diazepam tablets by Henderson physician Dr. Steven Winkler on June 21.

[...]

Diazepam is a sedative-hypnotic drug in the class of drugs known as benzodiazepines, which studies have shown can trigger aggressive behavior. Chronic use or abuse of sedatives such as diazepam can also trigger psychotic experiences, according to drugabuse.com.

Meds aren't the problem here, the availability of guns are.
Another problem is that guns, being designed to kill as fast thus also as simple as possible, aren't idiot-proof.

Right...let's ban valium and let people buy some more guns that serve no purpose other than to kill large numbers of people quickly, sure sounds like a great plan to me

Should have been prescribed Marijuana, prescribing it takes away the paranoid feelings while using it.
