I was referring to the lack of aimed fire at that distance. I assume there were lots of casualties from the first burst, but once people started running and the crowd dispersed, hopefully most of the rounds struck empty ground.

In any event, those people were absolute sitting ducks. A motivated shooter with a decent weapon and thousands of people tightly gathered into one area? Aiming isn't even necessary

Yeah, and there's really not anything that can be done to stop it from happening again. Hell, the guy in France managed to kill 86 and injure 450 with a truck. Where there's a will, there's a way.
Who else would have said something like that. People need to stop making excuses for what is right in front of them.
