Here is an interesting opinion piece from John Podhoretz, a conservative writer and observer of the political scene.

"If any figure in the United States bears watching over the next couple of years as our political culture continues the radical transformation that led to the election of Donald Trump, it’s Oprah. I believe she’s uniquely positioned, should she wish to commit herself, to seek the Democratic nomination for president and challenge Trump in 2020"

Democrats’ best hope for 2020: Oprah | New York Post

Speaking from the right, I don't want to see her run...she will button up the female vote in a way that Hillary never had a prayer of accomplishing. IMO she would be a formidable candidate.

It's still questionable if Trump will still be president after next year. Still a lot of water to go under the bridge.

Democrats will likely nominate Gabbard/Johnson in 2020. This is assuming trump hasn't been impeached.

Most likely he will still be POTUS.

Personally, I don't think he will run for reelection.

However, with the insanity going on with the vocal left, I doubt they will win 2020. The general public is sick of the antics and irrational views.

Trump impeachment is looking less and less likely. I doubt a smoking gun will come from this Russia thing. I could be wrong (and hope I am for the good of the country) but I think we are stuck with Trump until at least 2020.

As for the Democrats, I really hope they don't run somebody like Oprah. Celebrity status should not be a qualification to be President of the United States.

If Democrats nominate Oprah then maybe Republicans should nominate The Rock.

Oprah is not stupid. She is very cunning in how she manipulates WOMEN. They have been easily taken by her victimization mentality. She is a master at that, and somewhat hypnotic to them. They can blame all their failings on someone else. Weight, lack of success, the men in their lives, etc. All someone else's fault. Of course more government is the answer.

The Dems need to pick someone who had at least an inkling of getting the appeal of voters.

Biden isn't so bad.

You mean they're going to "put you back in chains" Biden? Another racist, divisive loser?
