Not real long ago, on another thread, a C-D poster and Trump supporter went off on a rant about how the whole reason for the Trump revolution is that Americans are sick and tired of the kind of people who use the phrase "the latter" in their writing and conversation.
To ice the cake, this same poster was also regularly ranting in other threads about how wrong it is that people speak non-English languages in public.
Trump drives statists insane. I enjoy that aspect of the circus.
Ummm...Trump is, by definition, a statist himself. At least you admit that your entertainment is more important than your principles. Most people wouldn't.
If Tillerson goes along with this stunt, then Tillerson is just a big of an idiot as Trump
Not really, Tillerson is a very wealthy man that never needs to work again. Before he resigns and moves on to the next chapter in his life, it may be very attractive to put the Orange Buffoon in his place and absolutely humiliate him. For a man that can buy anything he wants, this is something that no amount of money can buy. An entire genre of books, tv shows and movies deals with this type of revenge fantasy to get back at a horrible boss.
If I was Tillerson, I would call Trump's bluff. It is obvious to everyone that Tillerson would win and I doubt Trump would actually do it. So he either backs out and looks like something he would like to grab or he does it and confirms that he is America's highest ranking dumbass ala President Camacho.
Call me cynical but I don't expect a high score from a guy who recently discovered that Puerto Rico is;
'an island, surrounded by big water'.
