Personally, I dont think Trump actually wants a war. I think he is trying be like Reagan. Reagan pulled off the tough guy routine very well, and it worked for him. He was both feared and respected. That was a different time and a different man. I think Trump is feared, but not respected. It seems to me that what made that difference is that Reagan had the backing of the vast majority of Americans.
I agree with everything until your last sentence. The difference is that Reagan was a man of his word and therefore could be backed by the American public.

I think Jimmy Carter is amazing. He is 93, a brain cancer survivor and still building houses for those who need it. He's an inspiration and people should have more respect for him. At 93 he still makes a difference for people. And I think he was the most honest president we ever had. Of course some of you will post lies that he may have said. He has a wonderful heart which is missing in the white house these days.
Jimmy Carter is a wonderful human being, an honest, hard working man with strong faith in both a higher power and his fellow man who has tried to live his based on a code of honor society has forgotten once existed. He was a horrible president whose domestic policies just about ruined many people and whose disastrous foreign policies are still plaguing us today - our problems in the Middle East can be traced directly back to his actions, both written and spoken, during his presidency. He surrounded himself with idiots and charlatans while he by all appearances was weak, gullible, and stubborn leader, an absolutely horrible combination.
Just a reminder, for those who have forgotten or weren't around at the time, Carter clashed almost as much with his sitting Congress as the current president does with his. Everyone involved was a lot better about at least trying to act civil back then is the huge difference and, of course, there was no social media or 24 hour news to blow it up.
He needs to stay home and continue building houses. Like I said, great man and inspirational community leader, but lousy leader when things get ugly.
