You aren't going to get anybody qualified paying only $800/month. Fast food workers generally make more than that; so that would run government right into the ground
Nope, stipend, $800.00 a month, like that of a VISTA. People who are working for the country, should actually be, working for the country. And yes, that includes all of them, the President too. They should have made their money and not need compensation in representation of America's interest.
