I think you may have missed my point. I don't care if the Brits don't respect Trump. I suspect most of them know that the majority of Americans don't think much of him, either.
trump loves all that crap....from gold toilets to bowing to horse-drawn carriages to Buckingham Palace. Queen won't receive Little Donnie....ouch!
Britain's royal house (even if the royals themselves have their little peccadilloes) is an institution with actual class, and that is something that will forever be outside the reach of the short-fingered vulgarian, no matter how much gold leaf he plasters on his walls.
I love how the Trumpers are spinning this. The UK, our closest ally, has so little use for Trump that they will not even give him perfunctory meeting with Queen that they would bestow on the smallest principality. My guess is that the Queen was more that happy to flip Trump the bird and humiliate him in front of the world. Too bad for the Queen, Trump is now used to being humiliated and humiliating himself in front of the world.
TBF - Obama did have a full state visit and had already met with the Queen as President.
Trump is getting a no frills state visit, which is bit like a supermarkets own cut price brand kind of a visit, indeed the words 'no frills' usually mean it's going to be disappointing.
Exactly! I watched Dianne Feinstein actually say she represents 41 million California people who do not want concealed carry to be allowed, and I am thinking, this is EXACTLY WHY THE ELECTORAL COLLEGE EXISTS! I do not want somebody from California to dictate how I should protect myself when I live out in the middle of nowhere in North Carolina, on a farm trying to grow food to feed half the country when winter comes around, and the closest cop is 30 minutes out.

So as long as the two party system stays in place and they are allowed to dictate things this country would be better off? How naïve you both are to think either of them care about any of us.

So how would a change to a two party system be a net gain? Do you want coalition governments like Italy has? How has that worked out? I dislike both parties, and think we need term limits, and to get rid of the career politician that only thinks about their own power, and re-election.
