If the visit is actually downgraded, I suggest that the Trumpster retaliate by tweeting: "Time to abdicate, Lizzy. Give Chuck a chance!"

I love how the Trumpers are spinning this. The UK, our closest ally, has so little use for Trump that they will not even give him perfunctory meeting with Queen that they would bestow on the smallest principality. My guess is that the Queen was more that happy to flip Trump the bird and humiliate him in front of the world. Too bad for the Queen, Trump is now used to being humiliated and humiliating himself in front of the world.

They have been insulted by Trump enough not to care. I wouldn't be surprised if the queen loathes him and insisted on the change herself.

When he acts like a Jack Ashe he himself is disrespecting the office, and the people of the United States, not to mention nations abroad.

Wow, that was - rambling. Do you really want to bring up the Saudi visit, though? The one where Trump was snookered into carrying Saudi Arabia's feud with Qatar into the Twittersphere before he could be gently reminded that Qatar is a US ally and hosts one of the largest US overseas bases? They played him so well. The great dealmaker was taken in by bling and parades, and at the expense of a bit of pageantry, the Saudis scored a major coup in their privste little feud against a neighbor. No wonder the State Department is collapsing.

Making the head of state and the head of government the same person was a bit of a rookie mistake on the part of the Framers.
