Sooner America will no longer be the most powerful nation in the World, for a country that used to be the center of everything , how will Americans cope with that?

I don't want to fund being the most powerful nation in the world. I only want to fund a "you better not attack us or you are toast" nation.

Power is an interesting concept. The US has the largest military power, by far. But China probably has the most important manufacturing economy in the world.
