That dossier was widely known among news circles in summer of 2016 - but wasn't reported. The dossier is true - probably every word of it. I don't care about Trumpcapades w/hookers.

I do care about Russian propaganda, widespread disinformation via social media and the internet targeted to the stupid - of which, clearly, there are far too many.

I also happen to believe if the Russians are capable of infiltrating voter registration rolls in many states - which is a KNOWN fact - they also were able hack - and did hack - vulnerable machines without paper trails. The Govt knows it. Won't admit it for obvious reasons.

Trump is a fake president and was fraudulently "elected."

Which specific voting machines had number changed?

Do you think we should return to paper ballots?

I'm confused.

Russia was supposedly the source of propaganda that was spread on Facebook and twitter and supposedly violated the sanctity of our election. This is being investigated and has been termed an act of war by many on the left.

Russia was also the source of a propaganda dossier, paid for by R and D political opponents of the current POTUS and was shopped to the MSM in an attempt to spread propaganda - but this is somehow okay?

I see the Steele dossier as absolutely worse because that was clearly paid for by US political operatives. Collusion if you will. The Facebook stuff and email hacking may have been done entirely independent of trump campaign.

Sen. John McCain admitted Wednesday that he gave the FBI a dossier detailing claims of a Russian blackmail plot against President-elect Donald Trump.
The Arizona lawmaker, a longtime Trump critic, made the public statement as questions piled up about his alleged role in spreading an unverified and error-riddled document that Trump has denounced as “a complete and total fabrication.”

This is just total Bull****. McCain is no hero here!
He did it as payback and to cover his, Hillary's and Obam's tracks in the Uranium One deal. Projecting what they did, onto Trump.
Is there a reason you are posting a nine month old story that is the opposite of your thread title?

The Trump dossier had been shopped around to media outlets for a year. They refused to publish it because of its lack of authenticity and any damaging factual information. It only alluded to opportunities for collusion that were not consummated. McCain came into possession of it after Trump won the race and he tried to revive interest in it. It is basically a nothing-burger. Like a lot of the other reporting, reporting on it is based on innuendo and assumptions without backing facts in order to attempt to lead the reader on.

I can't speak for Ariadne, but I think we need to return to paper ballots.

At least for long enough for the computer systems to be made perfectly closed and secured from any outside tampering. Only a closed system is secure. The ballots have to be secure, and they must have an accurate record that is easy to follow from poll to the counting room.

The results can be put on the net for tabulation, as long as the count is verifiably secure from outside tampering.

FBI Paid $100K+ For Concocted Trump Dossier During Election; John McCain Helped Broker Classified Deal With Comey

FBI insiders say fired FBI Director James Comey and Andrew McCabe, deputy FBI director, used Bureau funds to underwrite the controversial dossier on President Donald Trump during the 2016 presidential election, sources confirm.
And the deal to dig dirt on a presidential candidate was put together with the help of Sen. John McCain, sources said.
These new revelations in fact might be the worst kept secrets in Washington, D.C. but now rank-and-file FBI agents want the Bureau to come clean on its relationship with the author of the problematic Trump dossier, former British spy Christopher Steele.

FBI Paid $100K+ For Concocted Trump Dossier During Election; John McCain Helped Broker Classified Deal With Comey | True Pundit

  • Steele was paid in the $100,000 range by the FBI for the research. Perhaps even more.
  • Sen. John McCain was involved in brokering the introduction of Steele or Steele’s preliminary research to FBI bosses.
  • The FBI routinely pays third-party private Intel firms to gather evidence used to secure federal search warrants and arrest warrants, as well as FISA court warrants.
  • The FBI does not vet the privately commissioned investigators, like Fusion GPS, who work “off the books” for the Bureau.
  • The FBI pays such contractors from a budget that is not part of its public expenditures. The transactions are confidential, therefore, Freedom of Information Requests (FOIA) on such transactions are easily and legally denied.
  • Steele and the firm Fusion GPS may have performed additional privately-commissioned intelligence work for the FBI.

Bent, mischaracterizing a months-old issue, tries to trash an elderly veteran POW.
Color me not surprised.
