Find a scapegoat that is ethnically different and mobilize the "pure" people against it.
Express populist, demagogue rhetoric ad nauseam.
Violate previous social and governmental norms and encourage your followers not to care.
Spread fake news and distort everyone's perception of what is real, right and just - in Germany, they had a term for it: "Lugenpresse."
Attempt to take over the press and suppress criticism.
Not saying he's going to start whipping up his supporters to kill, but he does have a lot of characteristics in common with a populist authoritarian. And if you don't see it, you're blind.
