I wrote in Jim Webb. I refused to vote for Trump or Hillary.
That didn't contribute to Trump being elected. The 2 major parties are responsible for Trump getting elected. They are the ones failed we the people.
Yes, the 2 major parties were responsible. But folks who refused to vote, or voted for candidates who had zero chance of winning, contributed to the result.
The election came down to a choice between the lesser of two evils. The greater evil won, and anyone who did not actively vote against him in a meaningful way contributed to that.

This is the reality. Apathy elected Trump. A lot of people in the USA don't have a clue about the implications of someone like Trump ascending to power. They won't have a clue until it affects them in some fundamental way. Once they start seeing curbs on free speech and free press and the expansion of the police state they will begin to realize that there are ramifications of who gets elected. But by then it may be too late.
Protest voters? As in either vote for a major party candidate or its a wrong vote? Some can argue that voting for either Trump or Hillary was a vote for corruption, elitists and self serving entitlement minded people.
No a wrong vote is voting party line simply because of party or voting for someone that you know is wrong but you feel is less wrong than the other candidate. That only serves the needs of the 2 major parties.
I understand your passion, and I support your right to vote your conscience.
With that said, from a practical standpoint the election became a choice between two awful candidates and the decision point, which I believe was crucial, was to decide which one of the two would do the least damage to the country and the world. No other candidate had a prayer of winning, so not voting for one of the two major party candidates was a wasted vote from a practical standpoint. It had no effect on the end result, and never could have. It was a choice to avoid the decision I made earlier in order to make a pointless statement. Sorry if that sounds harsh, but by effectively choosing not to seriously participate in the decision, third party or non voters still did have a potential impact on the outcome.

If you want shot minds, look no further than Maxine and Nancy.
Oh, for fun.
Waters looks sane by comparison and Pelosi is beating Trump like a bass drum.
