Or "teachers" in your cesspool city that push politics and indoctrination over real education. 2,000 Seattle teachers wear ‘Black Lives Matter’ shirts to class

Liberals are absolutely responsible for the dumbing down of America.
Exactly. What I just posted explains how and why that happened.

The terms you mention have nothing to do with the collective IQ of the country's population.
Yes, I understand we have "might," but I am struggling to comprehend why that is the case (compared to other countries), since the majority of the population seems to eschew true intellectualism, meaningful discourse, the arts, or any of the more refined ways of interacting with the world at large.

We have, collectively over the states, the absolute worst "educational" system possible . . . of course there are exceptional teachers and classes here and there, but on the whole, public education is truly about indoctrination - rote memorization devoid of context or meaning, "teaching to the test," burdening students with so much homework individuals and families suffer - therefore they cannot protest the garbage government - everyone is too tired - do useless work, watch mindless TV, then go to bed and get up and do it all over again.

The schools systems are so heavily regulated by state dictates that they literally have no time for teacher creativity in the classroom - no classroom discussion, no philosophy, no music, no art, pure garbage - and the teachers and teachers' unions who buy into it perpetuate it for the almighty paycheck. Dumb is as dumb does.

I would venture that the average IQ in America is points lower than say Japan, or any number of other countries . . .

Why are there so many dumb people in America and WHY is America considered "the" Super Power?

there certainly are and you have fascists like Yvette Felarca "teaching" kids in Berkeley, its pretty clear why they are moving backwards. Thats just 1 example we know about God help us on all the ones we dont know about.

"How Can America Be "Great" or a "Super Power" with So Many Dumb People?"

As an Aerospace Engineer in the Defense Industry going on 20 years, I can tell you exactly why we are a super power? Our Military. We have very good proven weapons systems, a large military budget, and we have actual live fire experience compared with most other countries. That's it.

And by the way, there are no Dumb people in this industry and there are no Leftist in this industry.

People believe whatever they see on the media or what Hollyweird tells them.

No other country in the world has the same economic power or influence like America does.

Then stop sending our jobs to China or India, stop importing millions of illegals and letting them take our jobs, and stop hiring those on a H1-B visa while underpaying them. Stuff like this is why Trump won but some people will still never understand.

Who are you talking to here?

Do you realize that the majority of what you describe was done by economic conservatives? "Free trade" was embraced heavily by them. Anything to make more money for their bottom line - and labor is the easiest way to get there.

These people are on Trump's side, and he will do nothing to stop them.

I'm sorry. But it is the truth. We're not going back to 1950 anytime soon - we are not the only manufacturing power in the world anymore.

That would take care of a big piece of what we have lost. We lost our entire IT department in the early 2000s, first to overseas companies, then to H1-B Visa people. None of them were as good as what we had. Concentrating on STEM Degrees and not on Degrees that return nothing other than large dept and little income.
