Perhaps. Let them get involved. We aren’t part of the EU, so I’m not the least bit concerned.

I sure as hell hope you’re wrong. I really do.

Do you have a source saying our government has said anything about intervening in Spain?

I don't see any reason for the US to be involved......also don't see any intel saying we would be

Catalonia voted for freedom...spain (madrid) OR THE EU should abide by that vote....

the problem is spain is poor while Catalonia is better off financially...so it will be a debate/argument/whatever in the EU

Nope.

And if we aren’t getting involved, it needs to remain that way.

I don’t care if they voted for independence, nor do I care whether or not Spain respects their vote or not.

It’s none of our business regardless. And Americans shouldn’t push our government into taking a side in that dispute.

I agree we shouldn't become involved and I think we need to remove troops from Spain and around the world but not ready to change any arrangement in NATO.

If the Situation turns very violent, Spain’s NATO membership HAS to be suspended until they clear it up. You can’t have a NATO member participating in a Civil War should it come to that. With US bases in Spain, it puts NATO in an extremely precarious position.

I say Trump continues continuing the Obama-Bush doctrine.

Start arming any rebels, do some scattered ammo drops, send in some drones to strike anyone who looks suspect, etc...

We repeatedly armed ISIS and Al Qaeda among other terrorist groups...things seemed to work out okay!
