In order to put an end to this "non-sense" and "lunacy" it is critical to reestablish law and order and a requirement to tell the truth to the American public by penalizing liars.
Is everyone for that?
Or who here believes powerful men should be allowed to lie to Congress with no penalty.
(And by all means if Hillary lied to Congress, penalize her too. )
This thread is about Sessions and any blatant lies to Congress.
In the context of how the question was asked by a low rate comedian turned Senator... No, Jeff Sessions did not meet with any Russians, in the context asked "as a segregate of the Campaign".
You people think everyone lacks the intelligence, you guys cannot display yourselves.
Go try and fool the echo chamber.
Every day it's becoming more clear why Trump was so angry about the Russia investigation. The net gets wider and wider; now they are including Hope Hicks and Stephen Miller. How can Sessions both vehemently oppose the idea and also not have heard anything about it?
Trump and Sessions Denied Knowing About Russian Contacts. Records Suggest Otherwise.
"Mr. Trump listened with interest. Mr. Sessions vehemently opposed the idea, Mr. Gordon recalled. “And he said that no one should talk about it,” because Mr. Sessions thought it was a bad idea that he did not want associated with the campaign, he said.
Several of Mr. Trump’s campaign advisers attended the March 2016 meeting, and at least two of those advisers are now in the White House: Hope Hicks, the communications director, and Stephen Miller, a senior policy adviser."
Rachel Maddow is very kindly airing Session's comments during her show. There is Jeff Sessions denying. Oh, there it is, no knowledge of any conversations with the Trump campaign, he says it with such conviction.
Sessions “needs to come back before the committee, in person, under oath, to explain why he cannot seem to provide truthful, complete answers,” Senator Patrick Leahy, the panel’s senior Democrat, said in a statement.
What's the point of him testifying under oath yet again? He's just going to lie again with no consequence.
