Who do you really think you are fooling not mentioning such a major staple food? Nobody leaves out that type of dish when speaking of traditional foods. Nice try though. LOL.
Mangu & mofongo are different dishes.

If you can grow things, raise things, and hunt, you won't starve. I suspect, however, that societies that do the two former will do less of the later.

Maybe there is not enough food in Zimbabwe, or maybe there are too many people?

I know I know, going straight to hell for that one. (I'll let you know what the weather's like.)

They are the same family and made similarly. What part of the Caribbean do you come from?

All of those dishes can be made with cornmeal, plantain, millet etc. Again...same family and used similarly.

Cornmeal may have been introduced in but fufu, sadza etc ALL exsited before Europeans.
Millet was a central African staple in pre-colonial times. It did move south once Arabs & Europeans started to trade in South Africa.

Again, that family of dishes has long existed in Africa. Just different names for the variations in different countries.

Zimbabweans ate sadza with millet prior to the europeans and cornmeal. It is one of their traditional meals.

Those meals are not european, sorry.

The problem with Zimbabwe is that Mugabe is a terrible leader. He’s an authoritarian dictator and took state control of all land, regardless of race. He has ostracized not just the white community but also Indians and “coloured.” They need to re privatize farm land and regulate it. The government needs to start subsidizing farms by helping them modernize their machinery and building infrastructure, and grow food exports. There is plenty of farm land in Zimbabwe for everyone. As it is no one is allowed to own farmland and farmers are forced to lease the land from the government. They are going to end up with all of these little farms that can’t grow or expand.
