The good news is that someone there, in the state of TX, was allowed to carry and was able to scare off the idiot shooter.
THIS is why we are against liberals idiotic screeches for gun control. Had that person not been able to carry, more, if not all, inside that church, would have been killed.
Not that I ever expect a dumbass leftie to understand the significance of that.
What about stricter gun regulations preventing the killing of those 26 people?
It depends how fast and how alert they are. The St. James Church massacre in Cape Town, South Africa in 1993 could had got more fatalities if it wasn't for a Churchgoer who was armed. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saint_...hurch_massacre
People need to realize these mass murders are just a part of living in today's America. We have a good deal of mental illness and easy access to assault rifles. The two are bound to converge from time to time such as in Las Vegas last month and Texas today. Americans appear to have accepted this reality as evidenced by the lack of any real effort to address this issue. It seems that it is just not an important matter for most Americans.
Everyone will keep the victims in their thoughts and prayers for a few days and the most recent incident will quickly become a footnote until it is referenced at the next killing spree.
Just for truth's sake, these things HAVE been addressed in some places - resulting in VASTLY lower murder and death rates. The South, for example, has over 30% greater violent crime rates than the Northeast.
Many states have double, triple or quadruple the number of violent crimes than others.
One example: require private sellers to conduct background checks.

Current laws are too lenient.
If whoever sold Kelley the gun(s) had been required to do a background check, that *might* have prevented him from obtaining the weapons.
