We have an American problem with violence in general and gun violence in particular.
A small percentage of Americans are committing a very large percentage of the murders in this country. Fact.

Which should not be the case based on pro-gun talking points. We should be the safest in the world with so many people owning guns.

Why the contradiction?
Well, if a country doesn't allow it's citizens to own guns, how can you compare gun deaths in America to gun deaths in that country. Murder by whatever means will have to be the means of comparison.

And all murders are performed by about .005% of the population. So what?

so 44 million people are commting half the murders in the USA, wow
Except that virtually all of those 44 million aren't actually murdering anyone. It's just racists trying to blame all black people for the crimes of a relative handful of people.

Makes about as much sense as blaming all white people for the Vegas shooting.

No, but a little fine-tooth combing within that segment, many of whom can't, or often won't separate themselves from the gang/drug/welfare "blue cancer" which is destroying many of our cities, would reveal the hard core who are.

And it's quite obvious that you, and a hard core of the prominent Leftists at this site, are eager to make excuses for them.

114 out of 163; yeppers a whole lot of safety going on there allrighty!

Did you even read my post? I said POCKETS of inner city gang violence which by far accounts for the most homicides. Other than those pockets, the U.S. is a very safe country. Wanna be safe? Don't live, or go to the ghetto.

that logic is charateristic of liberals, you see issues only in extremes and never ever in degrees. that is why liberal democrats can never, ever come up wity a solution to any problem.

That question is dumbed down and is a companion to being told, 'we have to pass it to find out what is in it".

Ask why water is so critical for life and yet drowns millions of people....

there is a cosmic gap between liberal academic theoretical philosophy and reality. The question posed in the op demonstrates this.
