No. He's walking away from the swamp.

Mike Lee didn't rise to be a leader in the Senate by being stupid.

Moore is a huge liability to Lee, as Moore has grabbed Lee's coat-tails; all his ads have a picture of Lee on them, endorsing Moore. Mike Lee is not about to get bit by standing by a child molester, especially when the evidence against Moore just keeps on coming.

The only thing that would be worse for Lee is is Moore is elected. Roy Moore is no one's friend but his own, and he's so willfully unreliable and headstrong that none of the Republican Senators wanted him mucking things up in the Senate chambers.

They couldn't do anything about him running though, but they can stop him from being seated. That's dangerous for them all unless there's enough of them who are solidly repudiating him now, before the election, and Lee realized that he has far less to lose in Utah by doing so than he has to gain by sticking by Moore.

And as the leader of the far-right Senate wing, his repudiation will probably spur members of his caucus to do the same. Once silence is no longer an option, there could be a rush of Senators denouncing Moore.

No one likes child molesters. By denouncing Moore, the Senators are dumping the Moore problem right where it belongs; in the laps of Alabama's voters. If he is elected, at least they can say they tried, and that may be good enough for survive and be re-elected, and elections are times where symbolic gestures seem to count the most.

Coming out against Moor also makes it a lot easier to vote against denying his credentials so he can't be seated.
Because no one wants to be a child molester's enabler.

And here's the real deal; Moore won't be a Senator for 6 years if he wins. His term will end in 2020, as he's a replacement for former Senator Jeff Sessions. So if Sessions' seat is lost to Jones, it won't be a big long loss. And it gives the Alabama GOP time to find a much better candidate than Roy Moore to run when it really counts.

Democrats and Establishment Republicans not from Alabama, don't want him in the senate.....
Good thing, the people of Alabama get to choose who represents their state in the Senate and in Alabama, he is going to need a lot of the black vote to accomplish that and he will get it.

The charge has been made and the voters get to be the judge of whether it is true or not. Why do people rush to judgment about these matters? And why do they feel they have to comment about it? Had anybody taken a lie detector test about the matter? If someone mistreats you, do something about it at the time. These things are so ugly!

There is no proof he ever asked the 14 year old out or did anything inappropraite to her. That's the problem. People falsely accusing him of something he didn't do. If you have any evidence he did what you say he did, we'd all like to see it. if he was some sort of freak we'd all like to know. All this happened during a short period of his life and never came up again? Along with 1 of the 4 working closely for hillary and my previous stement I have no problem giving him the benefit of the doubt. If he is guilty of dating a 14 year old THAT will be his undoing, I just think it's a sleazy to automatically bring out the pitch folks.
