No hats means no scarfs either. If you want to wear it than go to a school that will allow it or be home schooled.
Since when are people so ridiculous.
When I was in elementary school I had to bike for 20 min, 4 times a day, except for Wednesday's when it was 2 times.
The school five min away only accepted Catholic kids. My parents didn't protest but just had us attend a school further away that did accept kids if all religions and atheists.

In America, public schools can't only accept students of a certain religion. They cannot deny a student the practice of their religion, including articles of clothing that are required by religious observation.

That's not true. Schools can enforce rules and dress codes. No one is allowed to wear a hat or costume. That's does not violate the first amendment.
Pretty much everything you wrote would apply to the U.S. and our resident religious fanatics, the vast majority of them Christian.

Guess thats why Allah, Confucius, or Budha are written all over many of our founding documents, Money, Mottos etc. Guess they weren't Slavers, adulterers or swindlers either, since they were perfectly Secular? An admittedly non-Christian could not even win the presendency of this country. To deny that Christanity was the dominate religian, and played little part in the founding of this country is ridiculous.
Im an Atheist and have no problem thanking dog that were weren't founded by Muslims.

I guess I should have said if we want our children to practice their religion during school hours instead of teach. Practice/reinforce their religion.
