Comparison between Asian American and African American is absurd. Asian American is a very new demographic immigration wise. Whatever success they have achieved is because of their home countries and their status before immigrating to USA. They became Doctors Engineers in their countries before coming here. If you see any Indian IT engineer, it is because he became Engineer in his country and his Indian company won Outsourcing contract and sent him to USA. They finished Medical Schools in their home countries.
If they were born here, they would not have achieved this success. They would not have become Doctors if they were born in USA.
Second or third generation Asian Americans will not have this advantage of home countries in education, employment and they will not be successful in their careers. At that time you can make comparison. If there is institutional discrimination against African Americans, in that case it will also be against Asian Americans born and brought up here in the USA.
