I've been here several years longer than you, actually.
And no, it's not everyday people discussing political and controversial news. It *used* to be that way. Now it's just a twisted pathology of heated discussion based on hypothetical wondering. It's not reality-based one bit.
It's sunk too low.
I'm completely capable of reading your join date.
It might have been different here 3 years before I joined, but it sure was pretty much the same here when Obama was in office and I was posting on CD.
Has the mood become more tense with Trump in office? Yes, but I think that's got more to do with him being the retaliatory choice for POTUS than anything else.
It's not like a bunch of conservatives up and found someone more conservative than Obama and wanted him/her in office.
If that were the case, I think the discourse would be different.

It has been proven that relationships are more successful when the couples are similar than when they are different. "Like attracts like" is more accurate than "opposites attract." And we all know how far love gets us in relationships. Despite the American obsession on love being the only thing that matters in a successful relationship, it takes a lot more than love to make a marriage work.

I don't get why you're so concerned. You don't even know them so how can you say they don't seem to have anything in common?
Hard to imagine why the couple would want Trump at their wedding.
Just as well.
I can't imagine the conversation in the carriage would go well...
Trump: Nice wedding. Who pays for all this crap?
Prince Harry: Hmmm...never really thought about it.
Trump: You know, I was elected President by a grass roots movement of working class Americans that are sick and tired of the entitled classes. How did you get your job?
A little off topic, but does anyone else consider Harry and Meghan an odd match? They seem to have little in common, at least on the surface. Nevertheless, I wish them a long and happy marriage.
I wish them the best too but I suspect it'll be a tempestuous marriage...5 years max.
