After rising like 700% bitcoin bubble appears to have popped.

However, many are still buying in as price falls.

Did you make money in the run up?

Is this just hocus pocus?

I actually can't even figure out how to buy one. Its complicated I also thinks its a ponzi scheme since only a finite amount of bitcoins can be created.

I once had to get bitcoins in order to buy some software. It was a major pain, but that was a couple years ago.

First I had to get a virtual wallet and then I had to buy the coins.

Yea its not like buying a stock with the click of a button. I think it will be a long time before something like that gets mainstream.

Long term this is still believed to be the wave of the future and the big phony money makers( literally) in banking are gearing up to take it over and make it universal.

Bitcoin is so volatile I wouldn’t put money in, but with its massive ups and downs I’m sure someone is making a killing and I’m sure someone is losing a lot too.

That said, I sure wish I had invested at the start...

I would like an alternative to the US dollar (owned by the Wall Street banks and their pet politicians) and to be able to have assets invisible to the government. Yes, gold coins in the safe is one way to keep assets invisible, but there is still a cost of converting them in order to buy stuff. Hard to mail gold to Amazon, lol.

It is strange we have not seen another form of currency pop up in recent years (one that is accepted at most places, and easy to move around, spend). The time is just right for something like this to really be successful.

I don’t buy into a scheme with nothing tangible backing it.

I buy gold and I keep what I buy, no one holds it for me.
